I started out with this song trying to write a Death Cab for Cutie song. It wound up being about a cover band in downtown West Palm Beach singing my favorite Nirvana song. There’s this eerie lameness, almost, to downtown West Palm – the same faces saying the same words, year after year, almost like they’re trapped in amber.
