Lyrics
Story
This song I wrote for a friend of mine, Bob Lind, for his birthday. A few of us at work in the tabloid mines put together a CD. We all did a cover of one of his songs (“Cheryl’s Going Home,” which was the A-side to his big B-side hit “Elusive Butterfly” in 1966 – yes, I worked with a rock star), and then there was this song and a kind of dance-breakdown thing that incorporated elements of the other two. Bob really liked it. The album’s name is also stolen from one of his lyrics – the foolish, obviously, have no patience for the *blind* in his song, but if you kinda smash his name together, that’s what you get.
