Like “In My Jeans,” the lyrics to this are all from a flirtatious email exchange with Jean Carter. The female vocals are not by Jean, but by my then-girlfriend, who had to be cajoled with ice cream into recording that one sentence. Matt Steinhoff recorded this on software none of us really understood, since home recording on computers was all new fangled and weird back then.
Harry Monkhorst played at least half the guitars. Originally, I thought this was going to be a punk song, but somehow that didn’t happen about one-third of the way through recording. It got all *laid back*.
